Thomas Alford
Played for the University of Maryland 2003-07. As a stalwart midfielder for the Terps at 5'10" 220 pounds, Thomas controlled most of the Face-off duties his freshman year. He continued to be one of the best Fogo's for the team until he was able to work hard enough to play on the offensive side of the field. As a junior and senior, Thomas became a serious threat to opposing teams largely because of his 100+ mph cannon of a shot. All of his goals (12) during his senior season were against Top 10 teams in the NCAA and three were from the restraining line.
Thomas received two degrees from the University of Maryland – African American Studies and Family Science. Thomas was also on the Dean's List seven consecutive semesters and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team three years in a row. As a senior he was given the “Be the Best” award for strength and conditioning. When he's not playing lacrosse he is mentoring young children throughout the DC Metro area and playing in his band - Adopt a Highway. He also runs Christine's Coffee company with his identical twin brother Harry.
